My little problem is that after opening some menus, like Poll Brick, I don't see the bottom of the menu window. I also can't resize the window, though I can read most of the info. The only way I found so far to close it is Alt+F4. Is there a way to correct it? Thanks. EEE PC small screen - bottomof menus not visible/clickable

Here some some that will make the servo move to 100 and stay there when button 6U is pressed, and move to to 20 and stay there when button 6D is pressed. The sample program "NXT datalog Test" supplied with robotc suggests that you can alter its value. e.g. const int kDatalogSize = 2000; ..... nDatalogSize = kDatalogSize; However I find that the value is constant at 1665, and I can neither increase nor decrease this. I have seen other discussions in the forum which show the value at 4665 which is considerably higher. Is it possible... Datalogging setup

As far as I know it is possible via bluetooth to send commands directly to another NXT (Slave) and to retrieve values from the sensors. There are no new unread posts for this topic.   Yesterday, I tried making a segway using an ultrasonic sensor (which didn’t work), so I tried again today. Instead of a regular sensor, is used the rotation sensor in a third motor, and a touch sensor to activate it, which actually worked pretty ok. I've got more info, pictures and a video at this post on my blog . There are no new unread posts for this topic.   If for some reason when you're downloading the Master CPU Firmware to the Cortex, the download fails and you're unable to re-start the process in ROBOTC, you can try the following steps: - Start with the Cortex turned OFF (but with a battery connected). - Push and hold Config button in on the Cortex. - Attach the USB cable between the PC and Cortex. - Wait for the Robot, VEXnet and Game lights to blink green. - Release Config button. - Turn the Cortex ON. - Then in ROBOTC, click... If the Master CPU Firmware fails to finish downloading...

I can tell that it does execute the code that the breakpoint is on but it doesn't halt code execution. Anyone know what's wrong with the IDE? Gil. Breakpoints Ignored

I'd like to have a copy of the RXE files on the computer without having to copy them back from the NXT manually. There are no new unread posts for this topic.   Hi, I've got a similar problem to this , except in RobotC. The NXT (2.0) is ticking and can't be powered on. I've tried reseting, removing the battery, etc. I've followed the suggestions in the link above, however even Mindstorms can't communicate with, or even see, the NXT (nor can RobotC), so I can't reflash the firmware. Does anyone have any ideas, or should I contact LEGO? Thanks, strobe NXT is ticking and can't be reset or reflashed

In single step we get the yellow highlights. We are running v2.1 and v2.2 for mindstorms. Thanks no green highlighted lines running in debug

I hooked up a 12v battery not realizing that it was delivering over 13v and now my cortex isn't working properly. It downloads programs fine and they appear to be running fine but it wont run any of my motors. I hope I didn't fry the thing. Cortex wont output

I have built a Lego NXT robot which I wish to communicate with from another application running on my PC. Is there anyway to do this? We manufacture our own media server system, the software for this system is written in C++. I would like to either send/receive messages to and from the NXT somehow to control the robot from our media server, and receive messages from the robot within... Communications between NXT robot and our media server

But now i try to turn on PID-control. I read in the documentation about "registers for advanced PID-control". Sounds great, but i simply don't understand how to write a command for PID-control with this, it might be a bit to advanced for me. For an example, with 2 motors connect to the A and B port of the NXT... nMotorPIDSpeedCtrl = mtrSpeedReg;... command for PID on NXTMMX

I was told that it would work, however, I found out that if I leave the code as it is, the robot just simply go backward all the time. I listed the code below. Couple of things I found out is that in part of the code, the gyrosensor is set as a light sensor, which might cause the problem. I commented that out, and now the robot just jiggle and doesnt respond really well. Can someone show me what the problem might be? Thank you.... Balancing Robot Question

I have a need to setup BT communication from a PC to an NXT (actually to a set of 3 or 4 NXTs). From a communication standpoint, this is more of a broadcast message then a secure point-to-point messaging structure like BT is typically associated with. I have a set of information which will guide the actions of the robots which needs to be communicated to them every 2-3 minutes. There is no need... Bluetooth Broadcasting from PC to a set of NXTs

The NXT sends messages to the RCX without any problems, but i need the RCX to send a acknowledge-message when it has completed its tasks. I suppose that the RCX should send a message just like it would do if it was to communicate with another RCX, but how do i get the readings from the IR sensor in to the NXT? It don´t have to be anything fancy, just a way for the NXT to read a value that´s... Input from mindsensors IR link?

But what happens is that even though I think I have synchronized my motors their encoder values still don't match and because of that robot keeps slightly moving to the right. Like many others I've seen posting here, and at some of the other NXT sites, I'd been having a hard time getting my Vista equipped laptop to connect to the NXT with RobotC. When I got the laptop, I specifically bought a BT dongle listed on the Vista hardware compatibility list, which was a Belkin F8T012. Thing has worked like a champ for everything except the RobotC/NXT connection. Now mind you, the same dongle had no problem whatsoever making the RobotC/NXT connection on my Windows XP... Vista / Bluetooth / RobotC - a junk drawer success!

Later ive worked on it again, and now it handles realy big arrays without trouble. To bad i can not find the file anymore. It is still on one of my bricks, but can not find in on my computer. If i find it again i will be sure to post it Only thing you have to be sure of when reading/writing arrays, to put a wait statement in the loop to... Number to Text in ROBOTC

I've installed RobotC 2.01 and I've written a small code with an Ultrasonic sensor for obstacle avoidance and a motor. The motor runs untill the us sensor says that there is an obstacle. The program is very simple. The problem is that if i write my motor and sensor initialization by hand the compiled program won't work because the robot don't recognize the sensors, if i use the tool of RobotC it will work. The code is exaclty... "Compile & Download program" Bug?

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   I can't quite tell if the pid control for tetrix motors works. We would like one motor (with encoder) to spin at a constant rate regardless of external battery voltage. Is this possible using PID on tetrix motors? Is there any clear documentation describing tetrix vs nxt motor control functions? thanks motor speed control on tetrix

So far I have been able to reset the encoder, drive straight for a specified distance, stop but when I reset encoders and set motors to turn 90 degrees the robot just spins nonstop. Any suggestions.
